Release Date: September 20, 2023

Genre: Fantasy Romance (Clean)

He has known nothing but darkness for years. Now it’s time to let it consume him.

After witnessing the brutal death of his brother at the hands of the Steward Knights, Mason Grey turns to

vengeance. Using his Gifts to read and control the minds of others, he climbs the ranks of the Dark Army,

determined to earn the coveted Shadowstone-a powerful tool against the light-wielding Stewards. But when

he is wounded in battle, he finds himself recovering in the home of a chatty peasant girl...without the use of

his

Gifts. Even worse, the girl mistakes him for one of the Stewards he despises.

Seria Gayle longs to be seen as more than the town washerwoman. When she finds an injured Steward in

the woods, she welcomes the chance to use her healing skills and hopes it will earn her some respect. But

as she nurses the sullen stranger back to health, she discovers he is nothing like the knights she has long

admired. When Mason's true identity is revealed, Seria is devastated and humiliated. But she is offered a

chance at redemption by the very prince that Mason hates. Now Mason struggles between two choices:

accept the Shadowstone to avenge his brother or pursue this newfound light in the form of a peasant girl.

With time running out and war looming, will Mason and Seria defy their own convictions for a chance at

love or stand against one another like they've sworn to do?

Excerpt:

Seria gave a breathless laugh. “If I didn’t know any better, I would think you could read my

mind. You keep saying what I’m thinking.”

He raised his head and stared at her. Her exhaustion and swirling emotions pulled at him.

For the first time, he sympathized with her. He knew what it was like to lose everything. “How

do you know I can’t?”

She laughed. “A few lucky guesses, and now you’re a mind reader.”

A small, crooked smirk stretched across his face. “I’ve had a lot of lucky guesses.”

“Is that so?”

Resting his knuckles on his thighs, he looked her straight on. “You don’t believe me?”

She scoffed. “That you can read my mind? Nay, but I’ll give you a chance to prove it.”

She put her hands on her hips and tilted her head, her thoughts playing out clearly to him.

“You think I’m stringing you along, but you’re humoring me because I’m doing your

laundry for you.”

            Seria’s jaw unhinged.

He couldn’t stop his grin. “And I do have lovely eyes.” He gave her a wink and went

back to his work.

Sky of Seven Colors by Rachelle Nelson - With Interview Video!

Sky of Seven Colors was an epic Science Fiction/Fantasy standalone novel!

Our main character, Meg, makes a wish to the universe that she'd do anything to wake her friend up from a coma. Her wish was granted but by the gray people, not the universe. The gray people kidnap Meg and coerce her into becoming a bride for their king, with hopes that her ties with the gray kingdom can save her friend.

I loved the aspect of science fiction/fantasy where the alien was the human. That was so bizarre to me but in the best way possible, and I found myself getting excited at the idea of myself in Meg's situation. I also really enjoyed the types of gray people. It felt similar to Earth, in that we have many people, but not all of the same ethnicity. How color comes into play throughout this story, is interesting as well! Oh, and the besmons! You have to read about them!

With the difference in characters, physically and mentally, the setting of a different world than my own, and this being standalone, I was more than pleased. The plot twist itself, was one for the books, here or on the gray earth ;) The clean fiction was also a huge plus for me. I'm so thankful for stories that don't have bad language or R-rated scenes.

Come to a new world with me!

I think people that like Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Gulliver's Travels, and other portal fantasy stories, will thoroughly enjoy this delicious fantasy! Check out the author's interview with Enclave Publishing below!

Dedicated to the One I Love by Beth K. Vogt - Author Interview!

Dedicated to the One I Love JustRead Blog Tour

Welcome to the Blog Tour for Dedicated to the One I Love by Beth K. Vogt, hosted by JustRead Publicity Tours!

About the Book

Title: Dedicated to the One I Love
Author: Beth K. Vogt
Publisher: White Glove
Release Date: June 20, 2023
Genre: Contemporary Romance

She doesn’t believe in love anymore. He doesn’t either.

They’re perfect for each other.

Beloved romance novelist Kylie Franklin walked away from her pen-name career as bestselling and
award-winning Veronica Hollins the day her husband died. Her loyal readers are eager for the final
book in her sensational series. But Kylie’s given up on love, both fictional and in real life. Behind her
back, Kylie’s agent contrives a way to get her writing again.

Joe Edwards has made a name for himself with his popular military suspense novels under the pen
name Tate Merrick. Yet he can’t quite break onto the bestseller list. What his books need, his publisher
suggests, is some romance. Joe flat refuses. However, his publisher is determined and hires Veronica
Hollins to save the day—and his career.

Veronica and Tate quickly realize they’re Kylie and Joe, good friends who connected online via a
popular word game and their mutual love of trivia. Surely they can wrangle their alter egos into this
literary collaboration. But as the deadline looms, their differences threaten the romance developing
off the page.

From a Christy Award-winning author comes this charming mash-up of hidden identities, literary tug
of war, and falling in love when you least expect it.

Author Interview

1.      Your characters both use pen names. Is there any significance in giving them both pen names? I had to keep their identities hidden from each other when they met online as Kylie and Joe, so I needed them to use pen names for their books. Some authors prefer to use pen names just for business reasons. In the story there’s a personal reason why Joe had a pen name, but readers will have to discover that as the plot unfolds.

2. Do you write or have you ever written under a pen name? If not, have you a pen name in mind you'd use? I once used a pen name for a magazine article at the recommendation of my editor because of the sensitivity of the topic – a very randomly chosen pen name.  Imagine my surprise when we discovered after the article was published that there was a real life author with that name.

3. Your characters coauthor a book, because of a publishers influence. Is this how it can happen in reality? Could an author be instructed to cowrite with someone the may not know? I discussed this plot point with another more experienced author as I was writing the manuscript, and the story was also vetted by my agent. So yep, it could happen.

4. Have you coauthored a book, and if so what did you take away from that experience? No, I’ve never co-authored a book. That’s a whole other ballgame.

5. Was there a certain rom-com that inspired some of this story? Maybe one that started with, "You've" and ended with, "Mail"? What about the emailing/chatting prior to knowing one another made you want Kylie and Joe to experience this introduction to one another? I framed this story with the idea of it’s a cross between “You’ve Got Mail” and “The Lost City,” the 2022 movie with Sandra Bullock. I thought the emails between Kylie and Joe were a fun way to introduce the trivia aspect of the story.

 6. Joe writes popular military suspense. How much influence did your hubby have on Joe's military themed writing, if any? Is your husband a reader? I’ve written military characters in previous books – and yes, I admit being married to a military spouse has influenced those decisions. My husband is a busy family physician, and the standing joke is he reads one book a year. I will also say he’s a tremendous brainstormer for my novels.

7. The cover to Dedicated to the One I Love is so fun and animated! Did you have a lot or a little input in its design? Do you think that will draw in a larger age range for the audience? P.S. I'm a millennial and I'm sold! Thank you for saying so! The fabulous Courtney Walsh, an amazing author in her own right, designed the cover. It was the first design she sent me, asking me what I thought. It’s my first graphic cover and I think she did a superb job capturing the essence of the story. I couldn’t be more thrilled and the response to the cover has been fantastic, and it appeals to a wide age range.

Blog Tour for The Girl with Fire in Her Veins and Excerpt!

The Girl with Fire in Her Veins JustRead Blog Tour

The Girl With Fire in Her Veins

Welcome to the Blog Tour for The Girl with Fire in Her Veins by Dawn Ford, hosted by JustRead Publicity Tours!

Title: The Girl with Fire in Her Veins
Series: Firebird #2
Author: Dawn Ford
Publisher: Expanse Books
Release Date: April 25, 2023
Genre: YA Fantasy

Former servant girl Tambrynn struggles with her new firebird abilities, especially the internal fire she cannot control. So, she, along with her Watcher Lucas, and her grandfather Bennett journey to a hidden mountain keep to find the answers she seeks before she sets the kingdom aflame.

But there’s a new dragon who’s targeting Tambrynn, a mergirl who wishes to manipulate her, and the froggen king, Siltworth, who hasn’t forgotten that Tambrynn destroyed his watery reign. When her father, the evil mage Thoron, attacks someone she loves, Tambrynn’s group is separated and she has to face another powerful foe alone.

Is she strong enough to withstand the deluge? Or will she drown in the fire and the flood?

Excerpt:

As I realize the full extent of the threat in the flooding expanse below, blue fire surges through my veins, overwhelming me. I scream, and my bird squawk echoes, booming around us. The few remaining birds flee from the noise. To my surprise, my scream is accompanied by fire shooting from my beak. Though shocked, I don’t fight the heated rage that pours through me like molten metal. Arching my wings up, I aim the stream of fire at any of the waterkin that dares to get close to the drake. He tries to beat them off, but there are masses of them climbing up others to get to him. He can’t use his lightning as creatures swarm him. Rekspire rakes his claws over some who try to climb up the smoother scales on his belly. Lucas darts in and pecks at them, jerking back when they try to retaliate. The water continues to rise, coming up to Rekspire’s lower belly now. If I land as a girl, I’d have to swim, something I don’t want to do. Water and fire aren’t a good mix, and I need my ability.
